I just returned from the CGOA conference and it was so much fun.  I took a Hairpin Lace class with Pauline Turner.  She is from the UK and wow she was wonderful.  Pauline Turner was inducted to the CGOA hall of fame.  She is a wonderful designer, teacher and she was simply fantastic.

Lion Brand sponsored the Crochet Lounge.  This was a nice sampling of newer yarns that are coming soon.  The demonstration about creating magical knots was very appealing.

Simply Crochet magazine donated their latest magazine to the CGOA goody bag. Scheepjies yarn was also included into the goody bag.  This yarn is an advertiser for Simply Crochet, and the yarn is really nice.  Too many times I see the yarns, that are advertised into the magazine and I always wanted to try this.

Red Heart Yarns was also a sponsor and there was a nice goody bag at the banquet can't wait to use Red Heart Its a wrap to make my next shawl.

Friends: I met so many wonderful crocheters.  We would often sit at an empty chair and work on a project before long you begin a conversation with a stranger, and a friendship transforms.  Strangers that never met before and we only have one thing in common is to Crochet.  We crocheted in the lobby at the Sheraton hotel, at the restaurant, and of course at the Crochet Lounge.  Thank you to the friends that helped me to untangle a hank of yarn.  While shopping at the convention my hank of yarn fell before we could wind it up at the winding station, I had so many knots and tangles.  My friend Susan began to help me to work out the knots, and before long someone else helped as well.  Three of us working hard to untangle this hank of yarn.

I am already looking forwarded to the next conference in Manchester.
