I hope you are all doing well. Due to recent changes at Michael's I will no longer be teaching there, but I consider this as a new adventure. We can work on beginner crochet all the way to more advance skills.
I can't being to tell you all how important it is to practice what you have learned during class. I always work on my stitches especially when they are new. Yes I practice everyday. Homework what? First I am not grading your home work, the purpose of the homework is for you to continue to work on new skills.
CGOA world: CGOA Stands for Crochet Guild of America
I am gearing up to attend the upcoming CGOA conference in Manchester NH, over 400 crocheters are attending. I am going to meet authors, designers, and there are plenty of classes. As a teacher I find it important to continue to learn. I I really can not wait to meet up with friends. There is even a fashion show, where you can see other creations. Last year, I fell in love with a Peacock outfit wow The top was crochet so beautiful I might add. The bottom of the outfit was also crochet. This year there is going to be a yarn tasting. Who ever heard of yarn tasting event? I am a bit of a yarn snob I am afraid so this event will be fun. There is a crochet lounge where other crocheters get together and we crochet, talk, laugh and we encourage each other.
The CGOA is a wonderful group that focuses on crochet.
